The largest airports in the Old Continent

In present, almost all of bigger cities in the Europe own airfield. The same is in USA, Canada or Australia. Getting flight tickets is much more usual for people, then it was 15 years ago. But there are some big airports in the world, sizes of it are sometimes larger then size of a little town. Airfields like that are capable to send people to antipodes with one tour! They are so huge, that sometimes you will need a map to avoid getting lost.
Airport Charles de Gaulle Paris

This situated 23 kilometers out of Paris airfield, is second in the Europe and seventh in the world (if we are saying about number of checked tourists every year) . There are three terminals. First one is for international flights, second one is for domestic flights only, third one is for buyers of low-price cheap flight tickets. To get here from the center of Paris, you could to take a cab (50 Euro), or train. But prepare for road lasting almost one hour. Close to the airfield you find couple hotels and motels. In first terminal there are many of galleries, shops, restaurant and boutiques.

Airfield Frankfurt (Germany)

This airport is the largest in Germany. Situated 10 km from the city, contains two terminals. They are separated from each other, but there is a railway cursing between it for free. At airport are landing planes from over 100 airlines corporations. There is no problem to get flight tickets to any connection at the airport area. To get here you may rent a cab (20 Euro), take a bus or drive your own vehicle– there is plenty of parking lots, long and short terms. Also, there is a railway station, you can get here directly from almost every town in country.



Amsterdam Schiphol's Airport (Netherlands)

The biggest airport in this neighborhood, was build in early XX th century. There is only one terminal, cut into 2 parts : one for Departures and second for Arrivals flights . Airport laid next to highway, so you can easy get here by car or cab. The cheapest choice will be railway – cruise from city center costs few Euro. Also you can arrived here from Rotterdam, Utrecht, Haga and others, by city bus. At the airport's location you may rent a car, have lunch, buy flight tickets, buy some groceries, and even drink a cocktail in local bar.

Heathrow Airport in London (UK)

It is first one in Europe and third in the Earth – last year, 70 millions of travelers were checked at Heathrow airfield. Also, this one own the biggest number of internationals flights. It has five terminals, reserved for 90 airline firms, and it cooperate with almost one hundred countries . Inside you can find plenty of restaurants, pubs, markets and galleries. It is one of six airports in capital district, you can get here easily by bus or taxi – there is main route close to it. Also, you may take a local bus or choose train – there is a railway station near to Heatherow.



If you like to be sure, that you don't need to interchange during your cruise, just buy flight tickets for airplane coming from some of the airfields above. You will find there jets flying all around the world without any interchanges. And those airfields are still getting bigger.
